Why Marketing is Fun

Ok … so it isn't always the most fun you can have with your clothes on. But, like most things in life, if you start to think of it as a fun thing to do, then it magically gets easier.

Ahhh … you didn't know that??? Caught you with a new perspective did I??? So, how  to begin this transition. Hmmm … ready for it??? Here it comes …

You MAKE UP YOUR EFFING MIND THAT YOU WILL HAVE FUN.

That's it … totally in your hands. What's that you say? You don't know how? You don't think it is that easy? Well, it just is. And there are some huge benefits in marketing.

  1. You get to learn new things, all the time. How cool is that?
  2. You get to meet new people. And you might find some that will teach you stuff.
  3. You get to make money from the success of your business – huh? ya mean success??? that's cool.
  4. You get more things that I just ain't gonna tell you.

One thing I've learned is to blog daily. This sets the mark for you to do your daily activities in business. Then do some kind of marketing (ok .. I follow the Empower Network guidelines – blog daily and 1 hour of marketing).

What are you going to do for marketing? Well … how about this? Go and figure out what you like and what you'd respond to and do that. In the mean time, go to LinkedIn and join a few groups and post stuff.

Is that the magic that will turn you into a multi-millionaire? Mebbe … and mebbe not. But it will start your process of doing. And doing is the thing that works.

The thing to do is to spend an hour per day (did you get that point? only one hour per day) in finding places to advertise your business or opportunity. You could place classified ads on free sites or cross post your daily blog posting in “relative” groups (Facebook, LinkedIn, lots of places with groups). Be creative and know that the sum of all your advertising will be the effective thing. That also means that you don't have to measure each little thing you do as being “success” or “failure” and the sum total will make it success.

And, to sum this all up, I'd like to share a bit I found on the Internet:

Though it would be easier for you to get a professional who can help you succeed in marketing, it would be better if you are going to do it on your own. This will help you learn more from your mistakes, and will ensure that you will be able to easily adapt to the changes that your targeted market may manifest. This will give you better experience, and will help you get better chances at success. These are the reasons why marketing is fun, and is why you need to get started as soon as possible.

So, go and do and learn and fail and succeed – and succeed beyond your wildest dreams, just because that's the best place for success.
