The Avalance of Overload or Too Much to do Paralysis

Haven't we all been in that “Overload Paralysis” situation where we think we have too many things to do and too little time to accomplish them? And our solution is, more often than not, to just sit in “overwhelm” and be stuck by our circumstances.

What's a body to do? Well, there is a light at the end of this tunnel. A tiny glimmer of hope that the end will be in sight if we just take one tiny item at a time and finish it.

Now, I have to confess that is not always my first and best response and I fall into that chasm on occasion. The solution doesn't get changed because we know better or even should know better. We get to learn things and relearn things and repeat that cycle for a very long time. The path to enlightenment has more mud and muck than it has songbirds, flowers and rainbows. Don't beat yourself up for being in the mob and having to relearn all the same lessons.

One of the tools I like to use is my vision board and my “wall of memorable sayings” that keep the positive messages in my view, at least some of the time. When we remember to do the “daily basics” of visualization, goals, journal, and all the other steps the overwhelming mountain doesn't become as mountainous or as overwhelming.

Use empowering affirmations to refocus your energy. “I am a powerful and proficient (fill in the blank), and I'm able to accomplish anything I can visualize.” Choose to be “as good as you can imagine” and do not live in default where you can't do anything and never succeed.
